Green vegetables and blood orange on the nose. Blackberries, caramel and wet stone on the palate. Unfortunately, the tannins had dissipated and left the acidity to run the show, so despite the flavor profile, the wine felt very thin and weak in the mouth. I have had this wine 3 times in the past 4 months, 2 from the same case and none of the bottles had a wow moment. This wine may be past its peak.The history of chateau（酒莊歷史）：莊園起始于16世紀，起初為Rostaing家族所有；幾經易手，一直到1919年被Otto Woltner購買來。此后莊園的在其經營下，名聲大噪。特別是他的兒子-Henri Woltner，這個被后世譽為“釀酒天才”的奇才，通過發明、采用最先進的釀造工藝，大大提升其產品的質量，讓其產品逐漸成為傳奇佳釀。因此長久以來，該酒一直成為跟同產區的1855列級名莊里1級莊的Chateau Haut Brion較勁的最大對手。然而，1974年，當這位天才過世后，由于其家族成員的糾紛，不得不將此莊園轉手出售給Domaine Clarence Dillon家族-這個經營著一級名莊、它們最大的對手Chateau Haut Brion莊園的家族。雖然從那以后，整個Pessac Leognant的兩大代表性名莊同時被一個家族所掌管，但是這2款佳釀仍然在繼續著“暗斗”……直到今天，仍然在繼續著。 |
